The sector starts in Nanjing, a city full of history and excellent museums, including the Nanjing Museum. The Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall, built in memory of those killed during the 1937 invasion of the city is also very powerful. Nanjing is also a great walking city and its "1912" bar area a great place any night of the week as well! Continuing east to the ancient & beautiful Yangzhou is next. This off the "tourist" trail city has some great places of interest such as Da Ming temple with its gardens and canals. Yangzhou boasts some worldwide famous rice dishes and is equally famous in China for being the best place to have a foot massage.
Suzhou is famous for its classical gardens, which are UNESCO World Heritage listed. The city is also well known for its famous silk industry, most of which is exceptional quality. Perhaps of equal importance is it's "Bar Street", one of the best in China, which after settling in at the nearby hostel we'll hit this part of town. After leaving Suzhou we'll head to the ancient canal town of Tongli and then onto Shanghai, the economic and commercial hub of China. Shanghai has exceptional nightlife and is a great blend of Eastern & Western cultures. However Shanghai also signals the end of your trip, so tonight party with your new found friends in this amazing city with the help of your guide.

Days 1 - Nanjing
The former capital of the Republic of China Nanjing is still today both a modern & historic City. The City has numerous modern and historic sites including a 600 year old city wall and many excellent museums. There are plenty of options in Nanjing so you should plan for three (3) days before leaving for Yangzhou. A great city to explore on your own. Hire a boat on the lovely and centrally located Xuanwu Lake is one option to paddle your cares away. The Purple Mountain is a gem within the City as is the Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum within the same Park. The options are too many to list!
Day 2 - Yangzhou
Rising in the morning we continue east to explore amazing Yangzhou, an ancient & beautiful town. Perhaps considered off the "tourist" trial it boasts sites such as Slender Western Lake. Da Ming temple, a Ming Dynasty tomb surrounded by some of the most beautiful Gardens and canals in China is also a short walk from the Hostel. Yangzhou also boasts very famous rice dish and has long been considered one of the best places in China to indulge in a classic foot massage, which of course many head too after dinner as well (option).
Day 3 - Suzhou
Suzhou is a famous garden city laced with wonderful gardens and pagodas, famous for its beauty. of these sites several are UNESCO listed as World Heritage sites, so you should re-join the bus as we travel around them (30 RMB), which is a full afternoon. The city is also an important location for a world famous silk industry which we'll directly experience the following day. However perhaps of equal importance is it's "Bar & Restaurant Street", one of the best in China, so most of the group l make tracks for the Shi Qian Jie Lu are and explore it's bars and restaurants.
Day 4 - Shanghai
Shanghai is the commercial hub of China, but also a great place to finish and spend a few extra days! The Shanghai World Expo has set this City on fire and combine that with is wonderful nightlife, what can we say? Blending Eastern & Western cultures this City could be an ending highlight. However prior to arrival we'll explore an ancient, but not overrun, small canal town. There you can chose to ride a boat around its Venice like canals before re-boarding the bus for Shanghai. Obviously a sad time as it signals the end of your trip. So tonight dinner and drinks with your new found friends in this amazing city with the help of your guide.
Day 5 - Shanghai
Finish off in style and continue exploring the many sights of this fantastic City. We generally offer guided walking Tours around the French Concession and Shanghai Bazaar so check with your guide. Another option is the world's highest observation deck within the Shanghai Financial Tower - 474m high! The shopping Mall of Nanjing Lu for some incredible shopping and bargains is another options as is a walk along the Bund or a boat ride on the Huangpu River.
