Greater outline:
Day 1 - Beijing
Meeting at the China World Hotelyou will board the Dragon Bus for China both old and new.  The Great Wall represents much of China's history, while commonly known 'Birds Nest' will give you a glimpse of where China is heading.

Leaving Beijing for the Great Wall we'll stop at the Olympic Green, where you'll have time to explore the 2008 Olympic Stadium as well as take a quick peak at the iconic Water Cube; the venue which hosted the swimming events. Re-boarding the Bus we head for a section of the Wall that was built during the Ming Dynasty (AD1368-1627), and was part of the Northern Barrier, protecting Beijing from the marauding Mongols.  This section is far enough out of Beijing to allow you to take in the country air.
.Your lunch is included and will be enjoyed in one of the oldest restaurants of the area, newly renovated of course!  After this late lunch we head to what many believe to the be central Beijing, and its major pedestrian mall. You will then visit a  Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Pharmacy to get an overview of TCM, and all while receiving a relaxing foot massage.
This evening we take you for a walk through one of nearby vibrant Food streets.  This will surely open your eyes as it includes delicacies as scorpions and Star fish, however this evenings dinner is in much nicer surroundings.
Day 2 - Xian
An early rise to make our flight to Xi'an.  Originally known as Chang An, Xi'an was the first capital city's of China, and was the start of the eastern section of the Silk Road.   On arrival check into our hotel and get ready for the day ahead

The first site is the Big Goose Pagoda. The Pogoda houses the scrolls about the famous Monkey King Story.  Next we'll explore the old town of Xi'an, which will surely impress, and should give you a  glimpse into a period when China was the centre of the world.   Xián is a real melting pot of cultures, and nowhere better is there to see this then local bazaar.  Xián houses various ethic non Han minorities such as the Hui minority; descendants of Arabia and Iran.   Unlike any other place in China, the day will end after we twist our ways through alleys to find ourselves at an amazing Mosque, one that blends both Muslim and Buddhist architecture.
Day 3 - Xian & Shanghai

Joining the Dragon Bus we set off for an  early start to the Terracotta Warriors, arguably one of the worlds most important archaeological finds.  Leaving early we beat the hordes of local tourists descending on the site, following their flag bearing guide! However, getting ahead of the crowd means you're able to experience the site built for Qinshihuangdi, China's first Emperor, in all its glory. You'll really be able to imgaine these Warriors following their Leader into the afterlife!
.After exploring the Warriors, the Bus head straight to the airport for our flight to Shanghai.  Known as the Paris of the East, Shanghai will simply amaze you, and we'll give you plenty of options to enjoy your free afternoon.  Tonight maybe your final evening, so we'll make sure you enjoy it and the group with dinner (included) at one of our favourite restaurants in Shanghai. After dinner, we'll give you plenty of options to make sure you can experience some Shanghai's decadent nightlife from Wine Bars, Clubs, Jazz bars, Sportsbars to amazing cocktail bars!
Day 4 - Shanghai
This morning you have the option to join your Tour Leader on a Walking Tour. The tour will introduce you to the major landmarks of Shanghai, including the French Concession area.  You'll also marvel at the bird and flower market, wander along the main pedestrian mall of Shanghai and experience the huge variety of shops, hotels, and restaurants.  This tour will end with a walk along the bund, where you can walk through some of the worlds' most lavish Art Deco architecture and view Pudong's futuristic skyline across the Huangpu River.
.
Dragon Bus staff will be on hand throughout the afternoon, either in the Hotel to ensure that clients get to their point of departure.   Many will head to Pudong Airport, some to Hongqiao Airport & others are continuing in Shanghai or heading to other parts of China!  Therefore, we'll be on hand to make sure each client gets to their point of departure organising Taxi's and or giving advice on how to travel to the airport on the 400+ Km/H Maglev train!    Looking to or have to stay longer?
-  Dragon Bus can easily arrange or extend your time in Shanghai, and yes in the same hotel. If so, please email us  so we can arrange for you to keep the same room. One idea?  Stay on & see how the wealthy in Shanghai live with dinner at one for the famous restaurants along the Bund, follow this with Xintiandi or one of Shanghai's myriad of high style bars.
