Why was Dragon Bus started? Traditionally, travelling in China offered little choice outside of a standard "Package Tour." These often set inflexible & rushed itineraries with little or no customer choice. The option? China has a huge and complex transport system.This has left many travellers with a feeling of frustration and hassle.
Dragon Bus has been designed for independent travellers by independent travellers. You have the choice of where you start, where you finish and the choice to extend your stay. All this while travelling with like minded friends from the world over! Dragon Bus is a fully integrated transport & accommodation network served by western bi-lingual Tour Leaders. Dragon Bus use comfortable pre-vetted hostels & hotels and we do NOT use public buses, but we can understand why those that do go on to describe themselves as "Adventure Tours!"
Hostel are pre-vetted with a range of (single sex) dorms, twin & double rooms with and without private facilities. Travel times are kept to 3 to 5 hours maximum. This means you are not up at sunrise and returning at sunset. We have no hidden charges, no pre-paid meals or "mandatory tipping." Dragon Bus is very conscious of the environment in China. All travel on Dragon Bus has been assessed by Climate Friendly and WE offset your entire carbon footprint, included in the price of your travel.
