Independent Travel in China Cherry Blossum Tree

"Backpacking around China seems not to be the most efficient past-time one can have. There looks to be a bit of a rule of thumb formulating - 1 day to get somewhere, 1 day to work out where you are and all the vitals, 1 day to see stuff, and 1 day to work out how to leave."

"Our Lonely Planet is turning into little more than 0.5kg of extra weight - most of the places it refers to are now building sites"

Q - Planning to see "Real China" such as these guys above thought they would?
Q - How much will you experience if it takes four (4) times longer?
Q - Do you want to start your day with the hassle of getting to the bus/train station, getting a ticket to spend an extra 3hrs on a public bus as it picks up & drops off passengers along the way?
ANSWER - We hope not! We have experienced all this while travelling in China. We know how frustrating it is (and it is). Dragon Bus was created to be a new and totally different Independent Travel concept for China. Different to anything currently on offer, which is also why we have recruited bi-lingual western Tour Leaders so you now have an option to the China "highlights" package tour or the adventure/small group tour that puts you onto public bus transport with local Tour Leaders!

OUR Tour LeaderS & DRIVERS
Dragon Bus China employ our own Tour Leaders! A Western Tour Leader travels with the group for the duration of your Pass. Bi-lingual Chinese Tour Leaders join us at some locations/sights to ensure expertise, but otherwise you are in the hands of a Western Tour Leader.

LOCAL SIGHTS
The aim is to provide a platform for our travellers to see & experience China as an "Independent Travel Experience". This could mean climbing the Great Wall at your own pace, but also away from the Beijing day trips. Searching century old temples and laneways, haggling at local markets, perhaps riding horses and even swimming in natural waterways. Perhaps you wish to simply lay back and enjoying a favourite book in the hostel or on the beach at Qingdao?

CHOICES
China is a country of breathtaking natural beauty & history, but people experience these sights and cities in different ways. Do you want the choice to stay longer, but safe in the knowledge that you won't have to organise your departure and that another Dragon Bus is scheduled to return to your city? Dragon Bus is an Independent Travel Network designed to make your trip an experience of a lifetime. We're aware that travelling in China can leave some people feeling ripped off or cheated.  Shopping stops frustrate those traveling to China, so we avoid them without having to put you on a public bus. If we include an activity, it has been done so as we believe it will be both fun and informative. What we can assure you is that our own western Tour Leader will always be on hand to make sure there will be no pressure or people making you feel as though you will have to buy something. We've also included vetted accommodation along the way, all booked and confirmed for your arrival. The aim of Dragon Bus to allow people to enjoy this amazing country, its people & sites all while having fun and making new found friends!
